San Diego Humane Society’s Walk For Animals!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love animals! And the San Diego Humane Society is very near and dear to my heart. I volunteer at the Gaines street location weekly and support as many of their events as I can by lending a hand with my photography. This past weekend they hosted their largest ‘Walk For Animals’ at Liberty Station and it did not disappoint! Thousands of people showed up to walk the 2 miles with their families, work colleagues and canine companions. Participant donations go towards providing food, shelter and a shot at finding a forever home for more than 30,000 animals every year. In addition to the day to day demands, the Humane society always seems to step up when duty calls. I know this first hand, I saw the exhaustion and bags under everyones eyes who lent a hand during Hurricane Harvey.
